Nearly August and my lavender bushes are in full bloom, attracting legions of bees and butterflies. Soon I will be able to harvest the flower heads which I love as it releases the wonderful scent. Take a look at some ideas for using lavender…..

Are you off on holiday this summer? It’s the time of year when we take most of our photos, especially where the kids are involved! I would love to be able to take better photos so will be using Sophie Goldsworthy’s top 5 tips. Sophie is a fantastic professional photographer, pop over to her website to take a look at her work.

How about getting the kids to make their own hideaway for the summer? With a bit of help they could build a wigwam, great fun and very useful! Or if that sounds like too much hard work, take a look at Amazon’s well priced play wigwams. For a more permanent play place Asda also sell a fabulous Wigwam Playhouse.

At last, we have a summer! There will be plenty of barbecues happening around the country so I want to share my chicken kebab recipe. Tried and tested, low fat and delicious!

Chicken Kebab (Chicken Kabab) Recipe: Ground cumin is the secret spice used in my chicken kebab recipe and it imparts an exotic aroma plus unique flavors to the meat. The bell peppers give both color and help refresh your palate after each bite of the chicken kebab. #chicken

I went to a fantastic seminar today, run by a very talented media consultant (Jen Hinds). The seminar was about using social media in business and was really interesting. One of the points discussed was building a brand image via headers etc. I wrote a post a while ago detailing “How to Create a Custom Header for Social Media” using the tips I learned building my website and Facebook/Twitter pages. You might find it useful!
