Lavender

I love Lavender, it makes me think of summer. I have a huge bed of it which provides me with a biscuit tin full of flower heads every year. I like to make drawer sachets to add scent and they make lovely gifts. I found a few more ideas on Pinterest, some are shown below but for lots more ideas visit my Pinterest Board: Lavender.

For a romantic addition to a letter, seal with wax and add a head of lavender.

Create a beautiful summer wreath for your front door by adding lavender sprigs to a simple wire frame. A fragrant way to greet visitors!

Enjoy a lavender plant indoors with a themed planter, this cup and saucer is gorgeous. For a similar alternative, Amazon have a set of 2 lavender planters.

To make a lovely gift, cut out 2 heart shapes from fabric and roughly sew around the outline with a simple back stitch, leaving a small opening at the top. Fill the heart with lavender heads and sew closed.

Create a simple but stylish hanging bunch by weaving ribbon in and out of lavender stalks. For ease, lay out approximately 20 stalks flat, weave the ribbon in and out backwards and forwards then wrap around a bunch of lavender, secure and hang.
